Lycra Dresses

It is best to hand wash spandex to prevent excessive stretching. Never use washing detergent that contains chlorine bleach or fabric conditioner as it will destroy the structure of your spandex:
Preferred temperature is room temperature to lukewarm. Do not use fabric softener, soap pods, or dissolvable scented beads. Wash on a gentle cycle. Gently squeeze excess water, do not wring. Leave to drip dry. Recommended detergent is non-abrasive and delicate soap, such as Woolite.

Sequins Dresses

It is imperative with sequins and microsequins dresses or uniforms that you turn the garment inside out before washing. The important action is to wash the fabric, rather than just the sequins outer layer.
Sequins may bend or tear while hand washing; thus the responsibility is on the customer to care gently for the uniform after purchase. Bandmans is not liable for damages sustained when sequins has been exposed to water. To safely rid your uniform lingering stench or odor, use a small amount of cleaning vinegar diluted with tap water, or a non-chlorinated disinfectant spray.
Sometimes your everyday detergent will be too harsh for the material and sequins of your garment. Just how you would clean a satin fabric, it is best to use a more mild detergent and cold water to help protect the fabric while still cleaning it.
Preferred temperature is cold to room temperature. Do not use fabric softener, soap pods, or dissolvable scented beads. Gently squeeze excess water, do not wring. Leave to drip dry. Recommended detergent is non-abrasive and delicate soap, such as Woolite.

Jackets

All uniforms are dry clean safe. If the uniform has trim or glitter-based accessories, we recommend only using dry clean, to avoid incidental wear from tumble-based machines.
Coats with no trim can be washed individually (separate from other coats and bibbers) in cool water. Preferred temperature is cold to room temperature. Do not use fabric softener, soap pods, or dissolvable scented beads. Wash on a gentle cycle. Leave to drip dry. Recommended detergent is non-abrasive and delicate soap, such as Woolite.
You may use a non-chlorinated bleach pen or sanitizing spray on white Dacron panels, gauntlets, and capes. Use at your own risk as whitening or bleach-based chemicals can leave permanent stains on colored and dark fabrics or threads. Bandmans is not liable for damages sustained from if bleach of any form is used.

Bibbers are dry clean safe. If the bibbers have trim or metallic-based striping, we recommend only using dry clean, to avoid incidental wear from tumble-based machines.

Do not use fabric softener, soap pods, or dissolvable scented beads. Wash on a gentle cycle. Leave to drip dry. Recommend detergent is non-abrasive and delicate soap, such as Woolite.
Iron bibbers when dry. Do not iron on snap tape.
